“O magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3
What is a choir? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary says that a choir is “an organized company of singers”. Wikipedia says that a choir is “a body of singers that perform together”. We could summarize it by saying that a choir is many people singing with ‘one voice’.
But, what is it that makes a church choir unique? It is the fact that in a church choir the ‘one voice’ has ‘one focus’. The church choir exists to praise the LORD. We sing with one heart and one voice.
If you have a passion for the LORD and love to sing His praise then please consider joining the Orland Park Church Adult Choir. Let us exalt His name together! Adult choir meets for rehearsal on Sunday mornings from 9:45 – 10:30 AM in the Music Room. We also schedule six Thursday evening rehearsals throughout the year. Our season usually coincides with the Kids Konnection calendar; starting in September and ending the first Sunday in May. We prepare and present two special services each season – a Christmas Cantata in December and either a Palm Sunday Cantata or special service in the spring.
