Bulletin Announcements and upcoming events

HYMN SING & POTLUCK

On Sunday, June 25, we will be having a Hymn Sing and Potluck at our 6:00 pm service! We are asking church members to share their favorite hymns prior to the service so that we can create a hymnbook for each person who attends. For the potluck, we are asking individuals to sign up to bring a certain food item. Please see the information center and information table for both food sign-up sheets and a place to write down your favorite hymn(s)!

COMBINED SERVICE: JULY 2; 6:00 PM; PALOS CRC

Next Sunday evening we will have a combined service hosted at Palos Heights Christian Reformed Church (7059 W. 127th Street) at 6:00 pm. The offering will be for Christian Schools International. There will be an ice cream social in the fellowship hall after the service.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT RAMOS FAMILY

Missionaries Eddy and Carrie Ramos, serving with Global Outreach in the Dominican Republic, were recently robbed and have now moved to a safer apartment. The robbery and moving costs have amounted to approximately $2000. In addition, Carrie recently experienced some health problems, and their out-of-pocket medical bills total nearly $2500 as well. If you would like to make a special donation to the Ramos family, you may give through church with a designation of Eddy and Carrie Ramos: special need.

SPECIAL SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PARENTS!

In order to ensure the safety of your children, we ask that you please not allow them to climb or play on or around the cement barriers that surround the outdoor tent. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

BOXES NEEDED

If you have any sturdy boxes – sweater size and larger – that you would be willing to donate to the prayer shawl ministry, please drop them off in the church office or give to Sandy Huizenga. Thank you!

COOK COUNTY JAIL MINISTRY

Thanks to all who donated Bibles and Christian reading material to the Cook County Jail Ministry. Inmates “check out” these books and Bibles and are encouraged to use them to learn about Jesus – how He can work in their lives and provide strength during their detainment and after they are released. It is a wonderful opportunity to serve others with physical and spiritual needs. Please continue to contribute to this ongoing ministry – the collection box is located under the information center on the east wall of the gym. Thanks!
